November 2011 Newsletter
We hope all enjoyed last season as it was a superior year with plenty of snow.
Our hopes are that this season we will see just as much wonderful white stuff on the ground!!
Our first General Meeting of the season will take place on Saturday November 19, 2011.
It is a Wine and Cheese meeting beginning at 7:00pm at the Alberta Beach Seniors Center.
It will be a wonderful opportunity to come out and meet your fellow riders and sit in on the meeting so your voice can be heard. A couple items on the Agenda are dates for club rides and our new trail map we are currently in the process of designing.

Thank you to all who attended the ASA show and purchased their trail pass and club membership. For those of you who were lucky enough to have a sketch done by our artist we hope you enjoyed seeing yourself immortalized as an Alberta Beach Snowmobile Club Rider!
For anyone still needing their annual ASA trail passes the trail pass price increases by $10.00 January 1, 2012
from $60.00 per sled to $70.00 per sled. Passes will be available for purchase at our General Meeting.
Enclosed are the 2011/2012 Season Membership Forms. Once completed you can bring them to the General Meeting on
November 19th, Ecko Marine, the Darwell store, mail it back to Box 329 Alberta Beach or email the membership form along with credit card information for billing to marlene2@xplornet.com
We have also included the Ski-doo Million $ Club form. BRP is donating $10.00 for every form submitted to the Snowmobile Club listed on the form. All forms have to be in to a BRP dealer by November 15, 2011. We realize that our general meeting is after this date, but if you are able to fill out the form and send it in to us prior to November 15th we would greatly appreciate it as the extra funds will help keep our groomer up and running all winter long!!
With the production of a new trail map we are currently selling advertising space on the map.

JAMBOREE/POKER RALLY/ AREA RIDES
A few scheduled events for this season are;
- ASA Jamboree – Feb 3, 4th 2012 at Westlock hosted by the Pembina Drift Busters
- Sno Mo Days – Feb 18th, 19th and 20th 2012 at Alberta Beach
- Alberta Beach Snowmobile Club Poker Rally – Feb 19th in Alberta Beach
The ASA lists all events and club rides/poker rallies on their website.
The Alberta Snowmobile Association is currently offering a chance to win some fun prizes for anyone who completes the Safe Riders Program or participates in their Sled’N Snap photo contest.
The ASA also offers a $2000.00 Scholarship. Please check the website to see if you qualify.

We would like to send out our Thanks to all members who volunteered to work the Casino Fundraiser over the August long weekend, and all members who volunteered to help work the ASA booth.
Without volunteer support our club would not be able to operate!!
